মাটি কে আঁকড়ে থাকার মত রসদ এখন আর এ মাটির নেই, তাই মাটির থেকে খানিকটা উর্ধে উঠে কলকাতায় অবতরণ করেছি জীবিকার প্রয়োজনে। গ্রীষ্মের সকালে ভিড়ে ঠাসা বাসে, শীতের দুপুরের মিষ্টি আঠালো রোদে, বিকেলের চায়ে বা বাড়ির কাছের চায়না টাউন-এ বেঁচে আছে আমার শহর কলকাতা। ভারি অদ্ভূত এই শহর। ততোধিক অদ্ভূত এখানকার মানুষগুলো। কখনো কখনো রাতের রাস্তায় চলতে থাকা ক্লান্তিমাক্ত নির্বাক নতমস্তক পথচারী গুলো কে দেখে মনে হয় এ যেন সেই শ্রমিক আন্দোলনের আগের এক প্রেক্ষাপট। আবার মাল্টিপ্লেক্সে বা নামি রেঁস্তরায় অবিরাম অকারণ উচ্ছসিত থাকা মুখগুলোয় ধাঁধা লেগে বোধ হয় - 'যাঃ বাবা, লন্ডন না তো?'

আমি 'জগত দেখা'-র মত কিছু এখনো দেখিনি। তাই এই আশপাশের আন্তরিক জগতটা বড়ই বিচিত্র আমার কাছে। আরো খানিকটা ভালো থাকার চেষ্টায় ছুটতে থাকা একটা প্রজন্মের মধ্যে লুকিয়ে থাকা সংকল্প গুলো আমাকে বার বার ভাবায়। আজকের কবি 'আরব বেদুইন' এর সাথে তুলনা করতে পারবে না এই বাঙালি জাতি কে। বেদুইনরা তবু তে অন্তত বিশ্রাম নিত। এ বাঙালি তাও ভুলেছে। গতির এ এক অনাবিল আনন্দ। এখানে জীবন বাঙ্ময়, সাবলীল, স্বতঃপ্রচলিত, বর্নাঢ্য ও ব্যাপ্ত। না, তবেগড়ে  আমি কখনই কলকাতা কে বাংলার মুখ বলব না; বরং 'মুখোশ' তকমাটা একটু বেশি যথোচিত। কারণ বিভিন্ন ভাষাভাষী মানুষ মিলেমিশে, বৈচিত্রময় প্রয়োজনে এখানে এক দুর্বোধ্য মিশেল সভ্যতা গড়ে তুলেছে। যারা হাসে, তারা কেউ কেউ হাসির খোরাকটা কানে লেগে থাকা মোবাইল ফোন থেকে পায়, কেউ বা আমাকে তার সম্ভাব্য খরিদ্দার ভেবে, আর আবার কেউ কেউ হাসিটা চর্চায় রাখার জন্যে হাসে। এ হাসিতে সেই সুখের অপ্লুতি নেই, নেই মুগ্ধতা বা সতঃস্ফুর্তি।

Freelancing is indeed a good way to earn money while in leisure. But it is worthy to know before starting whether it's really possible to get a freelancing job easily or not.

It was the year 2006 when I was with my friend Tamal, roaming around Kolkata race course and nearby places. We were in college. Certainly something good had to be done. Some money making trick was in my mind for which I already started hosting Google Ads on my blog. I asked Tamal if we can setup a small brand to develop Websites or not. Find a Fast Food Restaurant in Kalyani

Kalyani is one of the few planned towns in India. The small city is beautiful, and so is it's lifestyle. People are happy, mostly employed and peace-filic. And the hunt is for food you'll hardly find a better place to complete your supper.

Well public transport is not adequate in the city. Most of the time you may need to depend on a reserved auto to reach the restaurants and food courts.

Assuming that you arrived in the early morning and ready to break fast. Your ideal place will be Dhakeswari Sweets in 2 no. market. Kachori and sweets will make you day start wonderful. Dry foods are available in Monginis at Central park. Within walking distance you can explore two high-quality but expensive sweet-meat shops - Bhusan Sweets and Jalajog. Yes this is one of branches of Jalajog Kolkata.

Lunch is wonderful at Dhakeswari Restaurant 2 no market and Simmi Restaurant Ghoshpara. There are numerous road-side dhabas and fast food courts around Kalyani Main Sation, Ghoshpara Station, Kalyani-Barrakpore road, Kalyani University campus etc. Quality apart, price is damn cheap and it tastes good.

Ok now comes the most tasty destinations in Kalyani to complete dinner or an evening tiffin. Go to either of Anurag Restaurant or Dhakeswari Restaurant at Ghoshpara. Tasty multi-cuisine food awaits your arrival and you need too pay few bucks for it. Well I must not exclude Punya's Cabin and most importantly Subham Roll corner. Well my person advice is, go and have a chicken or tikia roll in Subham Roll Corner and you'll remember it forever.

Being hungry I've found Kalyani a wonderful place to have supper in. If you're roaming in or around, come to Kalyani and enjoy good foods.

Web page not opening even though Wifi and Internet is connected

I faced some problem like this last week. I opened my laptop after 2 days. I went my home in Kolkata 2 weeks back, and after returning I didn't get time to spend some time with my lappy. Finally when I opened, I was unable to connect to the internet. In the system tray wifi icon was glowing and it shows computer is connected to Wifi network. But no webpage was opening. I tried different browsers. Nothing worked. I tried to ping some IPs and all the packets were lost. I tried to ping local IPs like 192.168.1.1 and same result was shown. This seemed to me unusual. Even if you don't have internet connection, you'll be able to ping this IP if you're connected to Wifi network.

Finally I tried IP Config and I was my local IP is 192.168.0.1. I was sure it's showing something which is unusual. I opened the TCP/IP connection properties of Wifi Internet connection. It was showing that the IP address is manually assigned to my system (the option was selected). I reset the option and changed to "Automatically Obtain IP" option and it started working.

This is useful for storing or passing PHP values around without losing their type and structure.

To make the serialized string into a PHP value again, use unserialize().

The value to be serialized. serialize() handles all types, except the resource-type. You can even serialize() arrays that contain references to itself. Circular references inside the array/object you are serializing will also be stored. Any other reference will be lost.

When serializing objects, PHP will attempt to call the member function __sleep prior to serialization. This is to allow the object to do any last minute clean-up, etc. prior to being serialized. Likewise, when the object is restored using unserialize() the __wakeupmember function is called.

Note:

Object's private members have the class name prepended to the member name; protected members have a '*' prepended to the member name. These prepended values have null bytes on either side.

Their work is really hard

Thousands of Labors are working in my office. They are constructing two more buildings inside the premises. They don't know anything about Information Technology. Still, they are the building blocks of IT industry. Their nights are horrible, like a nightmare. Water pours into the holes of their roof, and here we sleep comfortably. We've to think for them. Their compensation is not sufficient for what they do.

My First Month's Experience in TCS Siruseri

Don't know whether, I'm fortunate or not. Believe me, I've never been to such a large branch of company ever before. How could I? This is my first job. But Siruseri branch of TCS is really enough for a fresher. Before coming here, my definition of a IT Industry was different. Some computers, some brilliant programmers, and a little bit of professional gestures - that's all. But here, in Chennai the work-force is really interesting. And even more interesting is, the numbness of these work-force. A flow of busy yet silent Engineers, making a few thing out of nothing. Why? If you reach this place, you won't ask.

I was worried about my skills in PHP-MySQL. I was really afraid that I knew a little bit of Java. Again my stream is Java here. But, finally in my base branch I discovered, I know 'English' a lot. I can speak flawless. And even I know how to make a few out of nothing. Now a days, I really laugh at my college days. I don't really know, why I was taught more than 5 programming languages and 20+ theory papers. I'll never be asked to write some code, though I'm a sallaried Enginner. Hope, you understand my point.

Again, I'll say, I'm happy. Here in Chennai, my company, TCS has got loads of projects. However, I don't know, what the word 'projects' stand for. In these days, I realised that, the word 'consultancy' is more ambiguous. As of now, I believe, it's an act of discussing the solutions to a problem. Don't take me wrong. I never meant, it's also implementing the solutions. I think, you've started realizing that, you should leave this page now. You're really free to do that. Why? Again why? Simple. You're a blog reader, not an IT Professional. You can change your to-do's anytime.

The New Journey Started

This is the time, I'm making a promise to myself. 11:22PM, in my thin couch. I'll writing my daily deeds on the e-diary from today onwards.

Right now, I'm on vacation, last October I joined TCS ILP and my 1 and half month's training is over. I'll joining my base branch in Chennai on next 22nd. In this time, I'll try to write down the excellent story of this one and half month's journey.

I know I'll be bothering you, still I believe, you can tolerate this much. No?

My Worst Experience With WebHostingTalk

I joined the so called webhostingtalk.com 2 weeks ago. My account is still now suspended. My brother joined a couple of days later. I replied in a topic, where the thread starter was directly asking about a free domain resellers account? I just told my site name and mentioned it's completely free to join. The post was 'A SELF PROMOTION', to the moderators. They immediately suspended me. I contacted them repeatedly. They replied first 2 days and are silent for this long time. I was only 3 days old on WebHostingTalk when I faced the worst situation, and also I was promoting my service which was completely FREE. I'll never join WebHostingTalk anymore. I hate webhostingtalk.com, I have worst experience with them. I'll never ask anybody to join webhostingtalk and will express my worst reviews on webhostingtalk wherever I can.

GREAT SUCCESS IN TCS ON-CAMPUS RECRUITMENT

It's my pleasure to say that I'm one the proud 152 students,
who got their placement in TCS last night (26th February). It was a
record-breaking incident in the history of KGEC. There was about 240 eligible
students for TCS in current 3rd year. 211 of them passed the online attitude
test (Rules: Sectional Timeout, No Sectional Cut-off, No Upper Cut-off) on 25th
instant. In Final Interview (Technical and HR Together), 152 of them got the
recruitment-offer. The KGEC-ans are too happy as well as the TCS Recruiters
also.
